Current approachYourSimpleQuote uses browser storage, security technology, first-party event tracking, and Google Ads conversion measurement to operate and evaluate the service. We do not sell quote information or intentionally send the substantive answers entered into the quote forms to Google Ads.
1. What these technologies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a website or service provider. Local storage and session storage let a browser retain identifiers and settings. Pixels, tags, server logs, and similar technologies record page delivery, device, security, attribution, and interaction information.
2. Technologies currently used
| Category | Examples | Purpose |
| Essential site operation | Session identifiers, quote state, browser local storage, resume identifiers | Maintain the quote session, support navigation, prevent accidental data loss, and reopen a saved estimate. |
| Security and fraud prevention | Cloudflare Turnstile, honeypot fields, rate limits, server logs | Distinguish legitimate users from automated abuse and protect availability and security. |
| First-party analytics | Internal event and performance records sent to the YourSimpleQuote server | Measure page and quote-step use, diagnose errors, understand abandonment, and improve the experience. |
| Advertising measurement | Google Ads tag, advertising click identifiers, contact-conversion event | Attribute visits and requested agency contact to advertising and measure campaign performance. |
3. Information associated with these technologies
Depending on the technology, information may include IP address, browser and device characteristics, operating system, language, screen dimensions, referring page, URL and quote-step identifier, timestamps, advertising click identifiers, interaction events, performance measurements, error information, and security signals.
The first-party quote analytics system may associate events with an internal session or quote identifier. The site is designed not to include names, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, VINs, or substantive quote answers in Google Ads conversion-event fields.
4. Third-party providers
Cloudflare and Google may process information according to their own terms and privacy notices. Review:
Third-party policies are controlled by those providers and may change independently of this notice.
5. Your controls
Most browsers let you delete or block cookies and local storage. Blocking essential storage or security technology may prevent the site from starting, saving, restoring, or completing an estimate. You may also use Google's advertising settings and browser-based privacy controls to limit advertising cookies.
At this time, YourSimpleQuote does not respond to the browser “Do Not Track” signal because there is no uniform standard for interpreting it. We will update this notice if a recognized signal becomes applicable to the service.
6. Retention
Browser storage remains until it expires, the application removes it, or you clear it. A private resume link is designed to work for up to 14 days. Server-side analytics, attribution, security, and quote records may be retained for different periods based on the purposes described in the Privacy Notice and applicable recordkeeping requirements.
7. Changes to tracking
If YourSimpleQuote adds a materially different analytics, advertising, or tracking technology, this notice and the Privacy Notice should be updated before or when the technology is deployed. A consent banner or additional choice mechanism may be added when required by applicable law or the actual technology used.
